When I joined college, he was one of the most helpful classmates. We became good friends and spent many afternoons studying together in the library. Every conversation made me admire him even more, but I never had the courage to tell him how I truly felt.
As semesters passed, my feelings became stronger. I celebrated his achievements, supported him during difficult times and quietly wished for his happiness. I believed that one day I would finally express my emotions.
During our final semester he introduced me to someone he loved. In that moment I realized that my feelings had remained only in my heart. I smiled and congratulated him even though I was emotionally broken inside.
Graduation ended our daily meetings. We still respect each other, but he never knew how deeply I loved him. Looking back, I do not regret loving him. I only regret waiting too long to express my feelings.
Today I have accepted the past. That experience taught me that genuine feelings deserve honest words before time takes away the opportunity.
“Keeping feelings hidden for too long may create lifelong regrets. Honest communication is always better than silent expectations.”Our belief
